Gratitude
April 2020 will be remembered as radically different than any other. A global pandemic marked the month; in consequence, the unprecedented number of people was lockdown in their houses. We, as a community, felt deep grief for all that passed away. Some of us had to deal with a personal loss. The feeling of the hopelessness accompanied us, as no words could express the most profound sorrow. On the other hand, everybody felt gratitude for those in the front line, who fought for the life of others, continuously providing help against all the odds.
For those of us who stayed at home, isolation has changed our perception. As we focused on our microworld, many experienced the moment of a break in the hectic daily routine. The spin stopped, and we could notice our closest and the surrounding. Consequently, we could respond to all those aspects of life that you have at hand. Enjoying every fleeting pleasure that the day brings.
For me, this isolation was a lesson of gratitude. I learnt that it depends on me if I waste time and energy on pursuing things instead of feeling happy with what I have. This emotion expressing appreciation turned the circumstances around, enabled to concentrate on positive aspects. For sure it's the best remedy for complaining, grumbling and feeling dissatisfied.
As our activities outside were paralysed, many of us took advantage to exploit the virtual possibilities. Starting with friends, we diminished the geographical distance by staying in touch. April 22 was the real milestone for me. Even though our connection to nature, plants and the land was limited, we managed to stay together via digital way. As the online yoga practise took off, we were able to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Earth Day with the flow. It was an unforgettable experience.
The celebration of the Earth Day wouldn't be complete without mentioning two very dear friends, who on an everyday base, introduce eco-awareness.
Mariana Zavery, the founder of The Mindful Sprout, thanks for being a never-ending source of good ideas regarding the organic, close to nature way of life.
“Nature will always have your back.”

Sławek Stępniewski, on the other hand, represents revolutionary management on a big scale, opening eyes of companies' leaders for eco-solutions for years. I'm so proud of his recent project "Bee Dentsu" of introducing apiary on the top of the office building X2 in Warsaw, Poland.
“In the closed world of the global pandemic, we can do something positive;
we can play "honey" card - the winning card.”

Thank you for inspiring.
